Elizabeth Fry and Debora Wood established the Solano Midnight Sun Foundation Fund in Spring 2004 to assist local breast cancer victims who are not only afflicted with the disease but also facing enormous financial hardships because of their illness.
Ms. Fry and Ms. Wood felt that the image of the midnight sun is a perfect representation of renewed hope and life for individuals with life a threatening illness.
