SOLANO MIDNIGHT SUN BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION

The Solano Midnight Sun Breast Cancer Foundation (SMSF) is dedicated to providing assistance and resources to men and women in the local community affected by breast cancer.

Our mission includes offering temporary financial assistance to those undergoing cancer treatments and promoting breast health and early detection through mammogram sponsorships for under-insured individuals.

OUR MISSION

Supporting the Community

We are committed to making a difference in the lives of those battling breast cancer.

Our focus is on providing support, spreading awareness, and offering resources to empower individuals and their families through their journey.

We are in the business of saving lives, one patient at a time.

Our Journey So Far

2004

ESTABLISHMENT OF SMSF

The Solano Midnight Sun Foundation was founded by Debbie Wood and Elizabeth Fry in 2004.  Debbie and Elizabeth are both breast cancer survivors. During their own battles with cancer, including six months of chemotherapy and radiation, Debbie and Elizabeth realized many women did not have the financial resources, family support or access to treatment, they were blessed to have.  They founded SMSF to help those less fortunate.

2025

CHANGING LIVES FOR THE BETTER TO THIS DAY

In 2025 alone, we raised over $70,000 providing living grants to 14 individuals.  We also coordinated with local imaging and diagnostic centers to provide mammograms and other services to more than 40 individuals.
